Harry Cornick scored a brilliant header to give Luton all three points against Cardiff in Wales yesterday afternoon. The win keeps Luton fourth in the table and makes their play-off qualification chances seem very likely.
The first half wasn't as exciting as fans may have anticipated, due to a lack of chances for either team. There was however an injury issue for both teams throughout the first forty-five minutes. The Bluebirds were first to encounter an issue when Alfie Doughty needed to be replaced by Isaak Davies at the twenty-minute mark.
After a few rare breakthroughs in play, the Hatters saw James Bree go down injured and also needed to be replaced. Coming on in his place was Harry Cornick as Luton saw their injury list rack up another victim. Luton's problem became even worse very shortly after when James Shea collided with Tom Lockyer. The worrying injury meant Shea had to hand his gloves to substitute goalie Harry Isted.

Coming on just before halftime, Harry Isted made another milestone in his career as he stepped foot into his first Championship appearance, just a month after his impressive display against Chelsea in the FA Cup.
In the second half, the Hatters' nightmare struck again, another injury. This time, Fred Onyedinma made way with Peter Kioso coming on in his place. Kioso instantly made an impact as he sent a cross into Harry Cornick, but the attack broke down.
However, Luton's next attack forward resulted in their goal. In the seventy-first minute, the experienced Robert Snodgrass got the 125th assist of his career after his cross found Harry Cornick who headed his effort into the top corner.
Throughout the rest of the twenty minutes, Luton had their fair share of attacks and Harry Isted was tested going the opposite way, but the Hatters managed to keep another clean sheet and headed home from Wales with all three points.
