EMT FC came out victorious in a 3-0 triumph against their rivals Luton Celtics this evening to lift the trophy. Goals coming from Jack Dreyer, Ash Ingham, and Harry Milton contributed to the victory. Luton Celtics finished the match one man down after Aidan Dawson was sent off in the second half.
The kick-off taking place at Barton Rovers at 7:45 was certainly got off to a fast start. Within the first two minutes, Jack Dreyer put the men in pink 1-0 ahead. After winning a corner, the EMT cross met with the head of Dreyer, who wielded away in celebration.
EMT went on to double their lead just 11 minutes after their first when Ash Ingham placed the ball in the back of the net. The goal scorer for the first, Dreyer sent a brilliant ball through to Ingham, and upon receiving the ball Ash managed to go around the goalkeeper and pass the ball into the empty goal, putting his side 2-0 ahead.
Luton Celtic's first real chance came in the twentieth minute when Danny McGovern reacted quickly to steal the ball from the EMT defence, however, his effort went wide.
Both EMT and Luton Celtic had chances before halftime, but neither team could beat the other defences. Going down the tunnel for halftime, EMT had shown a dominant display over Luton Celtics.
As the second half kicked off, EMT appeared to set up a more defensive stance, in an attempt to see out the match. With this being the case, Celtic had a chance to try and get a goal back. Whilst controlling possession, Celtic tested EMT goalie Ross White on a few occasions, but managed nothing that troubled him.
On the hour mark, EMT centre-back Harry Milton went in for a fifty-fifty challenge which won EMT a corner kick. From this corner kick, Milton rose highest in the box to head in the third goal of the match, certainly putting the game to bed.

After seventy-two minutes played, any comeback dreams that Luton Celtics had were crushed when Aidan Dawson saw red for denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity for EMT.
EMT appeared to have a fourth goal just three minutes later when Charlie Milton headed his effort into the Celtic goal, however, the linesman's flag was raised and the goal was disallowed.
Although the goal was disallowed, three was enough to ensure EMT were crowned champions of the Sunday Junior Cup as the referee blew the whistle for full time.
Celebrations began for the EMT squad as they cheered in a group huddle on the pitch. After being awarded the trophy both club captains; George M'Gonagle and Charlie Milton raised the trophy with club manager Pete Milton.
