Luton Town beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 in a massive play-off clash on a good Friday even after going down to ten players. The Hatters jumped above 'the Reds' in the league table after the win.

Kal Naismith's goal gave Luton the vital three points they needed just after thirty minutes played. After James Bree broke into the box, Jack Colback handled the ball to which the referee awarded the Hatters a spot-kick. After Adebayo's important penalty miss the other day against Huddersfield, Naismith replaced him as the Town's kicker.

Stepping up to the spot, Naismith managed to send Forest keeper Samba the wrong way, putting Luton in the lead. The goal was enough to see the Hatters in the lead at halftime.

Coming out for the second half, the visitors put the ball in the back of the net early on, but Djed Spence's effort was ruled out for a controversial offside decision. This wasn't the only strange choice the officials made, as the referee gave out almost a dozen yellow cards to both teams combined and a red card to Luton's skipper Sonny Bradley.

Bradley's red card came just ten minutes before time when he picked up a second yellow for a bad challenge. There was an extra nine minutes of additional time played without the skipper. Although the captain was absent, Luton managed to graft out to get three points and a clean sheet in their bid for a play-off promotion spot.

Ending the match victorious, the men in orange took a lap around the pitch applauding the Luton fans as Nathan Jones put on a passionate display of celebration.
